Playhouse
Theatre -
Ivo was the design engineer for this theatre seating 406 patrons. The theatre included a sophisticated stage design, flytower and orchestra pit. Work was done at Ove Arup Consulting Engineers.
This Theatre has seen many stage productions including the 20 year old Phantom of the Opera.
Microwave Tower -
Ivo Huisman executed the preliminary design for the 120m High reinforced concrete tower with Arup Consulting Engineers.
Wilde Theatre Bracknell
The Wilde Theatre is based in Bracknell outside London and draws many patrons on a daily basis. Famous artists have used this venue in the past. Work was done at Ove Arup and Partners.
Parc de La Villette -
The structural analysis was executed of a steel and glass facade measuring 36m x 36m. Ivo Huisman worked under engineer Peter Rice of Ove Arup and Partners Consulting Engineers. This project turned out to be a master piece.
World Trafe Centre Fair -
Ivo worked on this project with engineer Peter Rice from Ove Arup Consulting Engineers. It was the prelimenary design proposal for the architect Renzo Piano. The building was to be an exhibition centre in Italy (Milan) measuring 600m by 320m plan area. The structure was to be reinforced concrete spaceframes on a 24m module, supported 12m above ground on 1.2m round rc columns.
Menil Art Gallery
Working under engineer Peter Rice at the time Ivo was involved with the planning of the Menil Art Gallery situated in Houston, Texas USA. This project too turned out to be a great success and many a patron has admired art exibitions here. Renzo Piano won an architectural award for this project.
Taikoo Valley Tower
Hong Kong
Ivo Huisman worked on the design of a reinforced concrete framed tower building 40 storeys high in Hong Kong. The building incorporated two lift shaft cores and challenging flat slab designs. Work was done at Ove Arup and Partners in London.
Old Vic Theartre -
The Royal Victoria Theatre was constructed in London in 1818. During 1982 extensive refurbishment was executed in which Ivo attained interesting experience restoring this old building.
